- Is it free? Will it cost me money? Passneitor is and will be always free. You can invite me to a coffee if you want 😛
- Why Passneitor have no Internet conexion? Because when I created Passneitor, I was looking for a safe password manager app, and there is no more safety than no internet access 🙂
- Why Passneitor have no ads? Because Passneitor have no internet access (you still can invite me to a coffee)
- Why didn’t you use a in-app billing method such as Google Wallet for donations? Because Passneitor have no internet access and they need it to work. The most important for a password manager app should be security.
- Is Passneitor compatible with KeePass? Yes, you can import and export KeePass v1.x files. It is also compatible with its fork project KeePassX.
- Is Passneitor compatible with another password manager apps? Not directly. Import data from another app was a difficult point. Another apps has their own structure and data and maybe they don’t allow me to know it. I chose KeePass because it was simply and it has a desktop app that allows users to convert any csv file to KeePass csv and viceversa. At last, it allows users to import and export data from any app if they want to.
- Why don’t you do all translations with an automatic translator? Why do you ask people to do it? Well, I think that automatic translators could work well but in fact it looks like the speech of a robot.. and at last a person who knows the language have to fix it. I can’t know all languages, and I think is better to let Passneitor’s users translate the app if they like it and they want to 🙂
- I have been using Passneitor with an old phone, and now I cannot import the passwords in the new one, help! Passneitor uses the Android Java encryption library.. and sometimes it does change between versions, breaking the default imports compatibility. In order to import easily passwords in your new phone, the solution would be to use “Export to other Apps” and either Keepass CSV or Keepass XML. Then use the generated keepass file in the new phone and use the option “Import from other apps“.
